By road
The main approach to Srinagar from elsewhere in India is NH44, which runs from Jammu through the Banihal Pass and the Chenani–Nashri tunnel network. Allow a full day from Jammu; conditions can change quickly with weather and traffic, and self-driving in winter is not advisable unless you already know the road. Once inside Srinagar, Gogji Bagh sits south of the Bund and the city centre — most local taxi drivers know our lane near Amar Singh College.
On the rails
By train
Through-trains from elsewhere in India terminate at Jammu Tawi; from there, travellers continue by road to Srinagar. The Kashmir Railway operates valley services on the Srinagar–Banihal section, useful for short hops inside the valley. A direct, all-weather rail link between Jammu and Srinagar is a long-running infrastructure project — please check Indian Railways for current operations before relying on it.

The lanes are leafy and unhurried, with small shops, bakeries, and the campus of Amar Singh College nearby. From Gogji Bagh it is a short drive to Dal Gate and the Boulevard, and an easy onward run to the Mughal Gardens, Hazratbal, or out of the city for day trips to Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonamarg.
